Eastogo Destination Tibet Tibet Private Tour

Tibet Private Tour

Tibet is a place of immense scale and quiet intensity, where snow-covered mountains, sacred lakes, ancient monasteries, and vast high-altitude landscapes have shaped a way of life rooted in faith, resilience, and a profound connection to the land.

For Eastogo, a journey through Tibet is not simply about reaching its most famous landmarks. It is about creating the time, access, and context to experience the region with greater depth — moving beyond the surface to understand the rhythms of pilgrimage, pastoral life, spirituality, and the extraordinary landscapes that define the Tibetan Plateau.

Lhasa is the natural beginning. The Potala Palace rises above the city, while pilgrims circle Jokhang Temple and move through the lanes of Barkhor in a ritual repeated across generations. From here, Tibet opens in every direction.

Travel south into Shannan, the cradle of Tibetan civilization, to discover its earliest palace and Buddhist monastery before continuing toward the luminous waters of Yamdrok Lake. Journey west through Shigatse and Tashilhunpo Monastery to the base of Mount Everest, where the scale of the Himalayas becomes almost difficult to comprehend. In Nyingchi, spring transforms the valleys with peach blossoms, green meadows, and distant snow peaks.

Further west lies Ngari, a more elemental Tibet of immense horizons, sparse settlements, wildlife, and silence. Here, Mount Kailash rises from the plateau as one of Asia’s most sacred mountains, drawing pilgrims who still complete the kora on foot in an act of devotion that has endured for centuries.

What often remains longest in memory, however, is not a single monument or mountain. It may be sharing butter tea in a Tibetan home, hearing a pastoral song carried across the grasslands, watching pilgrims turn prayer wheels at dawn, or simply standing beneath a sky that seems impossibly wide.

Eastogo designs Tibet Private Tour around these moments. With carefully planned routes, trusted local guides, thoughtfully selected stays, private transport, and the flexibility to move at your own pace, we create journeys that connect Tibet’s great landscapes with the people, beliefs, and traditions that give them meaning.

This is Tibet — vast, sacred, and deeply human. A place where you reach for the sky, and bow to faith.

We spend 9 days in Tibet with Eastogo. We were a little worried that Western China might be a little difficult to explore independently and we are so glad we ended up booking the tour with them. The activities they planned was amazing and felt very authentic, we were able to see the beautiful nature of western china as well as experiencing a lot of cultural practices. Spending time with tibetan locals was definitely a highlight of our trip. I would definitely recommend them.

The guides were professional and flexible, taking us through rich culture and epic landscapes. They were very knowledgeable and accomodating, keen to deliver the best experience possible. We went to places only locals could find and stayed in lovely accomodation that suited well. This was my first trip to China and not only did they take the stress off, it was much better than anything I could have done myself. Highly recommend.

The experience was great from the start to the end. The organization was perfect! We had an itinerary before starting, but the agency was ready to change it if the weather condition were bad. Every night, we had information very detailed, for what we would visit the day after. During the they we had lot of time to explore the places and the driver was very helpful with everything. Most of all, flexibility was on point! And the landscapes were stunning!

Writing a review for the unforgettable trip to Tibet we took with Eastogo is a true pleasure. From the very beginning, the team at the Chengdu agency showed exceptional professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. Zoey and Maize were not only efficient and well-organized, but also deeply caring and always ready to respond to our needs with grace and kindness. Panda, our driver, was a steady and reassuring presence, guiding us safely through the majestic and sometimes challenging Tibetan landscapes. Throughout the journey, we experienced moments of awe and wondersacred monasteries nestled among snow-capped peaks, silent sunrises over high-altitude plateaus, and heartfelt encounters with local people that will stay with us forever. Each day brought new discoveries and deep emotions, allowing us to connect not only with the breathtaking natural beauty of Tibet, but also with its profound spiritual energy. We have always loved China, but traveling with Eastogo allowed us to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the country’s rich cultural heritage and historical depth. Their passion, knowledge, and care transformed a simple trip into a transformative experience. Thank you, Eastogo, for making our dream journey come true. Thank you, China, for welcoming us with your immense soul. Vincenzo & Benedetta
