Eastogo Destination Beijing Beijing Private Tour

Beijing Private Tour

Beijing is a city where centuries of imperial history meet the rhythms of everyday Chinese life. From the grand ceremonial halls of the Forbidden City to the narrow hutongs hidden behind bustling streets, the capital reveals its character through extraordinary contrasts — monumental architecture, quiet courtyard homes, ancient traditions, and the remarkable Great Wall winding across the mountains beyond.

An Eastogo Beijing Private Tour is designed to explore these contrasts with greater freedom and depth. Walk through the Forbidden City with an expert guide who brings the Ming and Qing dynasties to life, discover the vast scale of Tiananmen Square, or wander through the atmospheric ruins of the Old Summer Palace, where the remains of imperial gardens tell a more complicated story of China’s past.

Beyond the city, venture into the mountains to experience the Great Wall away from its busiest sections. Hike along quieter, largely unrestored stretches with a knowledgeable local leader, following ancient watchtowers and weathered stone paths across dramatic ridgelines — a very different encounter from the familiar tourist viewpoints.

Yet some of Beijing’s most memorable experiences unfold in its neighbourhoods. Explore the hutongs by electric scooter, stop at local markets and traditional teahouses, or discover the city’s culinary traditions over Peking duck and copper-pot hotpot. These quieter encounters offer a glimpse of the Beijing that exists beyond its imperial monuments.

With expert local guides, carefully selected stays, private transport, and flexible daily planning, Eastogo creates private Beijing journeys shaped around your interests. Whether you’re drawn to Chinese history, architecture, food, photography, or hiking the Great Wall, we bring together the capital’s remarkable heritage and living culture in a journey that feels personal, considered, and unhurried.

Beijing has four distinct seasons. Spring is dry and windy at times, with poplar and willow catkins common from April to May; masks, sunglasses, and eye drops are useful for sensitive travelers. Summer can be hot, with strong sun and occasional heavy rain. Winter is cold and dry, but often clear. Autumn is usually comfortable, but avoid China’s National Day holiday from Oct 1–7 if possible due to heavy crowds.

Everything went very smoothly, and the itinerary was perfect! We were truly able to enjoy every single day. very special thank you to Carrick, our driver, who made our stay a truly unforgettable experience for our entire family. He was extremely professional and attentive; we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him. We have been traveling across Oceania and Asia for nine months now; we’ve met many drivers along the way, but Carrick is by far the best! His car was also very comfortable! The organization was excellent from start to finish!

The experience was great from the start to the end. The organization was perfect! We had an itinerary before starting, but the agency was ready to change it if the weather condition were bad. Every night, we had information very detailed, for what we would visit the day after. During the they we had lot of time to explore the places and the driver was very helpful with everything. Most of all, flexibility was on point! And the landscapes were stunning!

The guides were professional and flexible, taking us through rich culture and epic landscapes. They were very knowledgeable and accomodating, keen to deliver the best experience possible. We went to places only locals could find and stayed in lovely accomodation that suited well. This was my first trip to China and not only did they take the stress off, it was much better than anything I could have done myself. Highly recommend.
